Who We Are

In 1999, four couples moved to Charlotte to pursue a vision that only God could have given and only God could accomplish – to launch a church in the metro Charlotte area that specifically targeted people who had absolutely no interest whatsoever in God, or those who had given up on church long ago.

Over ten years have passed since that first Sunday, January 16, 1999.  In our first decade, we have relocated several times throughout the south Charlotte area, and we now enjoy a thriving campus in Matthews, NC. Today, Team Church is a thriving, relevant and relational fellowship.  Each week, people walk through our doors, having been impacted by the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.  They have made this church their “home”, and are committed to sharing the same grace and truth with others in their community.

What to Expect

When you arrive on Sunday morning, you will be directed to park by our Parking Team attendants. Once you enter the building, we offer complimentary coffee by the back door, and also sell gourmet coffee, lattes, other drinks and pastries in our Team Church Cafe. You can visit our Welcome Center in the center of the atrium for newcomer information and a coupon for a free drink from the cafe! If you have kids, our Kids Ministry Team can help register your child and direct them to their classroom. The All-Stars preschool check-in desk is located near the bottom of the stairs. Elementary-aged kids check-in to TeamKID upstairs. Once you are settled, our Host Team will greet you at the auditorium entrance and can help you find a seat if needed. After that, you can just relax and enjoy the Sunday morning worship experience! Our Services are creative, high-energy, culturally-relevant, and fun! We tackle the tough issues that individuals and families are confronted with every single day. Come as you are, and be ready for a life-changing encounter with God!
